Commit Yourself!

Good Morning Girls!  Hope you all had sweet dreams about the dreams you wrote down yesterday!  The thing about dreams is that they seem so "out there".  They seem like distant wishes rather than attainable realities. However, it just takes a few small steps to turn your dreams into planned, organized, realistic goals.  For example lets say you wrote down "buy a new car".  What steps do you need to take in order to make that dream a reality?  I'm assuming you will need money.  Now you need to come up with concrete goals to help you.  For example you could write down 1.  I will save $600 over the next 12 weeks and 2. I will earn $1000 dollars over the next 12 weeks.  Those are 2 goals that will help you get your car.  How are you going to achieve those 2 things?  Again, you must write out a plan.  Are you going to clip coupons, stop buying coffee, not purchase anything other than absolute neccessaties, quit eating meals out?  Can you have a garage sale, babysit for a friend or neighbor, sell things on Craig's List or e-bay?  Decide what you can do, write them down, and commit to them.  If you do not have a written plan of action,  that you are commited to, you will not succeed.  You need to have clear direction.  Don't be fooled into thinking you can somehow "wing it" and still achieve your goals.  The Lord loves it when we seek His help and ask Him for direction.  If you listen to what he says, and commit your plans to Him, you will succeed!  How do I know this?  It tells us in Proverbs 16:3 Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.  Isn't that exciting!

I know I said yesterday that I would share why I believe I am supposed to do Body for Life, but I will save it for another day.  I don't want to have 2 long messages in a row.

Love you all-
Jen
