It's Officially A Challenge

Good Morning Girls!  Last week, I encouraged you to take a look at your life and identify if there is anything that is slowing you down.  Is there something you need to start doing?  Is there something you need to stop doing?  If you weren't feeling up to it at the time, I encourage you to read "What's Weighing You Down?" again.  I encourage you to step out in faith and ask the Lord to show you one action you could take on your part that would make your life (and your family's life) better.  Okay, I've used the word encourage 3 times already.  What I really want to say is "I challenge you".  Not in a "I bet you can't do it" way.  More like a "come on , you can do it!  It's time to rise to the challenge"   If I had the time, I would upload the theme from Rocky now and have it coming across your computer softly and increasing the momentum and volume until you are up out of your chair practicing your jabs and right hooks!  Can you sense the enthusiasm and motivational tone I'm sending you over this keyboard?  Good!  Now that I hopefully have you thinking about, and soon doing, whatever the Lord instructed you to do, let me tell you, it won't be easy.  There will be days when you want to give up.  There will be days when it doesn't seem fair.  There will be days when it seems like you are surrounded by Pagan babies that are having a much better time than you are.  There will be days when you lose heart.  But wait.  Let me tell you something else.   There are many more days that you will feel victorious.  You will feel confidence.  You will feel stronger.  You will feel in control.  You will feel like a champion!  Yes, the great days will outnumber the difficult days.  The key is to not grow weary during the difficult days.  It is during those days that you want to pull the covers over your head that you are growing the most.  It is those days that define who you are.  It is those days that show the world that you will determine your character, nobody else gets to.  Even on the most difficult days, you will always have the one thing that nothing and no one can take from you.  That is your confident hope in the Lord.  He is there, cheering you on, waiting for you at the finish.  We keep our eyes on Him, the champion!  When we can't move on any further, we do not look back.  We look up.  We look up and remember Jesus did for us.  We look up and pray for strength.  We look up and remember that this is not about us.  So girls, as Nike has so perfectly put it........JUST DO IT!  For there is great joy awaiting you!

Hebrews 12:2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame.  Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne

Love you all-
Jen
